![]() Additionally, their reputation is halved (or increased by 300 if the player's reputation before being jailed is 500 or less), and after waiting out the entirety of the sentence, their bounty is cleared. After being sent to jail, the player is placed in handcuffs that stop them from using magic or tools, which can only be broken by being hit. Jail time lasts anywhere from 30 seconds to 10 and a half minutes, depending on the bounty and reputation of the player when they were jailed. Players who surrender to the Magic Council, are killed while they have a bounty, or combat log when you are bad rep, are sent to a random prison. Bounties cannot currently be claimed by other players. A button to surrender will appear while a group of Magic Council soldiers are chasing a player. Players causing threats will periodically have groups of Magic Council soldiers spawn near them if they enter a town, and if their bounty is high enough (around 250 crowns) each group will also contain a Captain. If an evil reputation player ( Hostile (-350) or lower) commits a crime in a town, they will instead start a Threat and be given a Bounty, which increases up to 5,000 crowns if the player continues to commit crimes. These quests are always to defeat evil NPCs, and award reputation up to a higher maximum than quests of the same tier from other good NPCs. The Council also offers Quests to players of good reputation. Failing to pay a fine will give the player a Criminal Notice, which will result in the player's reputation being instantly reduced to -350 if they refuse to turn themselves in. ![]() ![]() Good reputation players ( Unfriendly (-349) or higher) will be fined for damaging Towns, stealing private chests, and killing other good reputation players or NPCs. ![]() The Magic Council functions as a governing force for all good Reputation players.
